Music Creation

CMDess is a music creator since around 1994. His work can be heard across TV and is utilized for motion picture projects and new media. CM is a creator of Groove Shadows and some other unique formats for the production music world. First musical performance of his creation occurred at age 14 when a symphonic orchestra performed a work intended for piano and orchestra. He is a broad spectrum composer, producer, singer and audio engineer. While in San Francisco he forged partnerships with music publishers based in LA and Internationally. His main distributor is APMMusic (now part of Sony) who are the largest supplier of production music in California.

Origins / Early Life

CM was raised by broadcast announcer for Entercom ( now Audacy ), Lisa Meadows ( WSKY, WKTK ) and spent his later youth with his grandfather William Desser ( saxophonist and violinist ). He was immersed in all walks of music from a young age but developed a spark for music creation after hearing the work of Sergei Prokofiev ( Classical Composer ). His father William Desser Jr had graduated from Juilliard School of Music in New York however CM would only come to know him through stories and the music educational materials he had left behind after passing.

Professional Development

CMDess has musical works ingested into APMMusic (Sony), BMG, Sonoton, Sonic Librarian, Music Junkies, AudioSparx, SongsToYourEyes, CineCue from his 12 years spent in San Francisco, CA. He has supplied around 400 works total for the utilization of these companies in business to business audio services. His professional career started working on several sample CDs for a company in Germany named Ueberschall.

CMDess Publishing / LLC

CMDess Publishing was formed in 2007 for projects outside of the scope of his work with major clients. Under CMDess Publishing around 400 additional works were created to be used in creative and emerging audio applications and services. He has independently released over 40 albums along with unique releases of his Groove Shadow and XRIFFz formats. Albums can be previewed and streamed across all major streaming platforms.

Spectrum

Because of the work and experiences CM encountered he developed a skill for learning new and varied genres of music and sound design. He has produced Pop, Alt, Rock, Space Rock, Sound Design, Big Beat, Electronic, Underscore, Soundtrack, Trailer Music, Orchestral, Ambient, Piano Solo, World, Jazz, Fusion, Holiday and more in addition to new discoveries from his multi-hat audio adventures. CM does not currently imploy AI as of 2023 for the creative process. Instead much of the work in his creations is performed note by note with unique samples from his recordings of instruments and a vast array of sound instruments and technologies.

YouTube Video Madman

Around 2019 CM got his youtube channel more primed with advertiser friendly videos and reviews. Some of the videos also feature his musical work and he has created several holiday / special event / tourism oriented films for local businesses. Additionally he has created DIY tutorials around cooking, music and software. There are as well examples of his live playing and demoing of instruments to showcase the exceptional work of developers and to provide a glimpse of the product to potential customers.
